The
Saskatoon Farmers' Market was founded in
1975
on the basic principle that members must make, bake or grow whatever
they
are selling. This provides the customer the opportunity to deal
directly
with the producer which allows a more personalized touch with the
products that are being purchased. We try to make each market day a
special
event for people to come down and enjoy a sense of community and a
little
Taste of Saskatchewan.

The
Saskatoon
Farmers' Market is set up as a Co-operative and enjoys a membership of
over 140 active members. Members can attend any market of their choice.
During the summer Saturday markets, we currently average 75 -80
stalls on a
Saturday,
therefore providing a wide variety of products for our
customers. Our weekday markets attract a smaller variety of
vendors, but there is always a good selection of garden produce
available.
